Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have increased the transport of goods through the optimization of tariffs for transit of Uzbek goods through the territory of Azerbaijan. The director of the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies of the President of Uzbekistan, Eldor Aripov, said this during the webinar “25 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan”, Trend reports .
He also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the transport and logistics sector.
“Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have great prospects for developing cooperation in the field of transport and logistics,” Aripov said.
According to the director of the institute, new great perspectives will emerge with the establishment of the trans-Afghan corridor, the establishment of the road from China through Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, and the restoration of the Zangezur corridor. .
“These roads will create a unique transport network between our countries, which will increase the transport of goods, expand trade opportunities with China and the European Union,” Aripov said.
