Transmission developer insists it can fight FERC rate order

By Clark Mindock (March 10, 2022, 8:19 p.m. EST) – A transmission developer told DC Circuit that his position to fight the approval of a rate change by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is “obvious,” because he is competing for contracts and would clearly be harmed if the rules prevented him from doing so.

Transmission developer LS Power, industrial power consumers and others told the court on Wednesday they believe FERC’s decision to approve rate revisions proposed by regional grid operator Midcontinent Independent System Operator was detrimental.
