Update from the Committee on the Holocaust and Human Rights
KRISTALLNACHT
Kristallnacht, The Night of Broken Glass, was the night the Nazis attacked thousands of Jews and destroyed their property. Kristallnacht is considered to symbolize the final break-up of Jewish existence in Europe and is commemorated on November 9 and 10 each year.

HUMAN RIGHTS DAY EVENT: A conversation with journalist ELIZABETH RUBIN and Afghan rapper and activist SONITA ALIZADA

New Castle Holocaust and Human Rights Committee Mission Statement: Our committee’s mission is to educate residents of all ages and raise community awareness about the Holocaust, other genocides and violations human rights. The Committee will work with other groups and organizations to educate the community to never forget the horrors of the Holocaust and other genocides and to apply these lessons to the world today. The Committee will also work to promote the teaching of the Holocaust and human rights in our schools.
