Sterling Bancorp operates as a bank holding company for Sterling National Bank which provides various banking products and services to commercial, consumer and municipal customers in the United States. The Company accepts deposit products, including interest and interest-free checks, savings, money market, term and demand deposits, and certificates of deposit. Its lending products include commercial and industrial financing, asset-based, payroll financing, warehouse, factored receivables, equipment financing, public sector financing and commercial real estate, such as multi-family loans; residential and commercial mortgage loans; consumer loans, such as homeowner loans, home equity lines of credit, new and used auto loans, and unsecured personal loans; and acquisition, development and construction loans.
