Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Law and Human Rights has issued Ministerial Regulations No. 2 of 2022 on Public Services Based on Human Rights (P2HAM).
Human rights-based public services aim to enhance the quality of services provided by all work units within the ministry’s environment, the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights said on Monday. man, Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej.
“Public services are activities carried out to meet the demand for service in accordance with the law,” he noted.
Article 28 I point (4) of the 1945 Constitution stipulates that the protection, promotion, application and observance of human rights are the duty of the nation, in particular of the government, he said. he adds.

This means that one of the obligations of the state is to provide services to all citizens to fulfill their basic rights and needs within the framework of public services, he said.
To build people’s trust, public officials should perform their duty in accordance with people’s expectations, Hiariej added.
It is a form of respect for the rights and obligations of all citizens for the realization of state responsibility in the execution of public services, he said.
In general, every citizen has the right to receive administrative services from public service providers, he noted.

“It has to be delivered to people effectively and efficiently,” the deputy minister said.
To meet the needs and satisfaction of service recipients, managers must adhere to human rights principles, he added.
The implementation of P2HAM has started within government institutions, specifically in all work units of the ministry, he informed.
Hiariej said he expected the settlement to ensure the provision of services to vulnerable groups, such as the disabled, the elderly, women and children.
